Our scholars

Imam of ICS Mosque
Imām Baqir Shah
Raised in Houston, Texas, Imām Baqir memorised the Quran while completing high school, then dedicated himself fully to the sacred sciences. He studied at Falah Seminary in Ohio, spent time with scholars in Istanbul, and graduated from Qalam Seminary in Dallas. He is completing an MA in Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary.
He serves as the Imām of the Islamic Center of Southlake, teaches Arabic at Ihya Foundation, and leads Friday sermons across the DFW area.

Imām Ibrahim Raqeeb
Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Imām Ibrahim memorised the Holy Quran at 11 and completed his Ijazah in Hafs recitation by 14. He pursued the Islamic sciences across Indiana and Pakistan, studying under senior scholars and completing the six books of Ahadith before receiving his Ijazah.
He is a co-founder and vice principal at Ihya Foundation, where students from across America study under his guidance.

Scholar & Academic Coordinator
Ustadha Sarah Salih
Raised in London, Ustadha Sarah began her formal Islamic studies at 16, travelling to the US to study at Qalam Seminary. She holds degrees in Psychology and Child and Adolescent Mental Health, has memorised the Quran, and is completing an MA in Islamic Theology from Chicago Theological Seminary.
She founded CONSCIOUS, a socio-spiritual space for women in London, and serves as Academic Coordinator for the ʿĀlimiyyah Program at Qalam Seminary.
