Ramadan at the Islamic Center of Southlake
Ramadan fills our masjid with families, neighbors, and friends. From the days of fasting and reflection to the breaking of the fast together, this is a month where the whole community gathers as one.

The Spirit of the Month
A Month We Share Together
Ramadan is the month of fasting, when we set aside food and drink from dawn until sunset and turn our hearts toward Allah. We soften those hearts with the Qur'an, and small acts of patience become a kind of worship. In the stillness of the late nights, prayer feels closer and more sincere.
Generosity sits at the heart of these days. Neighbors break their fast together, parents bring their children, and youth find their place among us. Whether you have prayed here for years or are stepping through our doors for the first time, you belong in this gathering, and no one walks this month alone.

The Nights
The Nights of Ramadan
The nights carry the heart of Ramadan, from the very first standing in prayer to the completion of the Qur'an in its final days.
Taraweeh
Beginning the first night of Ramadan, we gather nightly for Taraweeh, standing together in long, unhurried prayer as the Qur'an is recited.
Qiyam ul-Layl
Every night during the last 10 nights, the community rises for Qiyam ul-Layl. These are the nights in which Laylatul Qadr is sought, and the masjid stays alive with prayer late into the night.
Khatmul Qur'an
On the 29th night, the community marks the completion of the entire Qur'an together, a tender close to a month spent in its company.
Programs
Throughout the Month
Alongside the nightly prayers, ICS offers programs for every age and a few practical comforts to make taking part easier.

Youth-led Taraweeh
On weekend nights, our youth lead Taraweeh and share youth-centric khatiras, short reflections that speak to the next generation and give them a place to grow in faith and leadership.
Youth Qiyam Nights
Dedicated Qiyam nights give young people their own space to pray late, reflect, and connect with their peers during the most blessed nights of the year.
Community Iftars
The masjid hosts community iftars where neighbors and visitors break the fast side by side. Details are announced each year as Ramadan draws near.
I'tikaf
For the last 10 nights, worshippers may retreat into the masjid for I'tikaf, devoting themselves fully to prayer and the Qur'an. Spaces are available by reservation.
Babysitting
Babysitting services are offered during Taraweeh and the last 10 nights, so parents can pray with peace of mind while their children are cared for.
Masjid Operations Fundraiser
Ramadan is a season of giving, and our Masjid Operations Fundraiser invites the community to support the house of Allah that serves us all year long.
After Ramadan
Celebrating Eid
When the month of fasting ends, the whole community comes together to celebrate Eid as one.
Eid Salah
The community gathers for the Eid prayer, beginning the day with gratitude and the remembrance of Allah.
Eid Food Fest
An Eid Food Fest at ICS brings families together over good food and joyful company.
Eid Dinner Celebration
An Eid Dinner Celebration gives the community a festive evening to gather and share together, at a venue announced each year.
